We are pleased to introduce the fourth member of the SK series, the travel chef’s knife, the SK18 Erna! It is lightweight, features a very comfortable grip made of curly Carelian birch, and has a fantastic blade made of special laminated cobalt steel. Take it to a barbecue as your personal chef’s knife! It comes with a genuine brown leather sheath and a zippered storage case.

Always clean the knife with hot water and a little dish soap. Dry with a clean cloth. Never put the knife in the dishwasher! Never attempt to cut bones or frozen food, as the edge may chip or bend. Always use wooden or plastic cutting boards—never ceramic, glass, or marble. Use the D12 or DC521 steel for sharpening.

About the name Erna: In Norse mythology, at least according to the Eddic poem Rígsþula, Erna was the mother of eleven sons of Jarl, the ancestors of the warrior class in Norse society. Her father was Hersir, a tribal chief. Erna was valued for being a charming daughter and a good mother, always energetic and vigorous. If you treat her well, the SK18 Erna will always be a loyal and reliable friend.
